We are guided by the belief that knowledge sparks change
M.I.N.D. CF’s mission is to make a measurable impact on illiteracy and innumeracy by bridging the gap between evidence-based academic and clinical approaches to helping people with learning disabilities in reading, writing and math with access to multisensory integration for neurologic development.
We believe that learning disabilities are the result of disconnections within the neural networks necessary for learning and intelligence, and that all individuals deserve to learn to read, write and do math.
This alarming statistic underscores how the limited literacy skills within households significantly impact the educational development of children.
We believe that all people can be taught, as the science of Orton-Gillingham, Multisensory Math, and Hemispheric Brain Integration has proven.
We at MIND each have a desire to give back, and a passion for the possible. To love, give, and serve our community is central to who we are, and we are compelled by a desire to do better, now that we know better.
In evidence-based multisensory approaches:
MIND has pre-approved select programs for parent and teacher scholarship grants.
These include training and certifications (when offered) in the following: IMSE, IMSLEC/MSLE, OGA, Lindamood Bell LiPs and Visualizing and Verbalizing Programs and TouchMath, and Toe By Toe materials.
by educational advocates, and educational legal consultations on

Often, children with a dyslexia or dyscalculia diagnosis fall through the cracks of the U.S. public education system, and MIND CF has made a commitment to educate parents on their children’s rights. This translates to providing grants for educational advocacy and legal consultations with SC attorneys who practice educational law. on
